Welcome to the
USS Imperator NCC-79924 Flagship For Task Force 21!

Welcome to the home of the USS-Imperator the Sovereign class ship serving in Obsidian Fleet. More specifically she is the flag ship for Task Force 21, she also has followed the Fleet and Romulus has been destroyed. I am the Commanding Officer Rear Admiral Dirk Alphonse. I invite you to look around and familiarize yourself with the ship. She's got a great crew, with new crew always welcome. If you enjoy what you see don't hesitate and join the crew, you know you want to.

Imperator:

Imperator a title originally equivalent to commander during the period of the Roman Republic. It then went to become a titulature for Roman Emperors. The most famous to have earned this title was Julius Caesar, Emperor of Rome.

The Sovereign class, placed into the refit program in 2379. Resulted in more phaser arrays, torpedo tubes and a replaced warp nacelle, resulting in marginally higher warp performance that had resulted from the development of the Excalibur class. These upgrades made the Sovereign a premier Multi-role Cruiser, ideal for a wide range of tasks.

Just as Roman Imperator's were required to watch over their empires, the USS-Imperator is tasked with watching over Task Force 21. But is also charged with helping to rebuild the Federation, to defend her in any way and to make sure anyone who threatens the peace regrets ever doing so...

Hey all,

As we close up our mission I'd like for everyone to get a post in with your thoughts of the battle. We will have been lightly damaged. Repairs are going to be expedited. I'll be getting a post written up shortly with the details of that. On Friday I'll close the mission and get the new one implemented.

I'd also like to see us hit 4 posts per player this month. So everyone lets get a post a week out :D

» A Quick Note

Posted on Sun Sep 23rd, 2012 @ 10:33pm by Rear Admiral Dirk Alphonse in General News

Some of you may have already seen this as I was slow on the draw to get it out. I've noticed a trend occurring and I wanted to mention something about it to everyone. I asked that all the CO's in 21 pass this along as such here is yours :D

I’ve asked your Commanding Officers to pass this along to you because I’ve noticed a rising problem and would like to say something about it. In the past month or so I’ve seen a lot of Rage in different places in the fleet. A person got in a Rage about a transfer, two Rage quits from various places in the fleet, and shamefully I had a bit of a Rage moment myself this past month. Why do I add my moment in the list? So that Everyone can realize it can happen to any of us at any moment, but we need to be able to catch it and stop ourselves before it becomes too big to either A) Mend bridges or B) Stop ourselves before we cause problems. I am not too sure why they all seemed to happen this past month but it suggests that it is a trend that has the possibility of continuing to rise, and I don’t want to see this continue. I would rather stop the Raging now and make sure everyone can benefit from these mistakes, even my own.

One thing I noticed in a few of these examples was that people were taking responses and making things personal. Please don’t take something personally if the intent is not there. I’ve noticed that a few of these issues the person raging thought there were being singled out. If it’s a suggestion let it be just that work on it and improve. If it comes in a form of a transfer and the reasons behind it make you upset realize that it’s given because that is how the player felt. If it’s not true shrug it off and don’t try to discredit the player. If it is true Fix it! It will only make your Sim a better place to be.

If you receive an email and you get upset, read it through a few times wait a few hours and respond when you have cooled down. If there is a question that you don’t think you’ve read something right ask for clarification. Its better to ask and know for sure than to appear foolish or rude. As I myself learned.

The last thing is about Rage quitting and making comments that may come back to haunt you in the future. At times someone is going to do or say something that you are not going to like and you will need to depart for greener pastures. Remember things you say will have a lasting impression. And if you leave in a Rage, it is going to be a negative impression. One thing that stood out for myself was a player that was upset that his character had to be transferred a second time after 3 months because the CO resigned. Is this an annoyance? Yes. Is it worth getting upset over? Not really, there are other ships out there. Please realize that us as CO’s have outside lives as well and at times they get hectic. And it can end up in a resignation if it becomes too much of a hassle. I don’t expect a lives story when a CO resigns if it is for personal reasons nor should you. Take it as face value and realize that it’s probably a good reason. To get upset and blame others for it only results in things being said that again leave a lasting impression. In the mentioned case the player has a strike against him for anything that he would wish to pursue in the fleet from myself. It would have been better to have just said no thank you to a transfer and pursued different avenues. However please note that I am working on making sure resignations don't occur often from your CO's.

WELLLLLL,

I got beaten to the punch with this. There were some other issues that arose and I had to put it on the back burner for a little bit lol.

Join me in welcoming Shibo M'Ress to the Imperator. You've already gotten an pm about him so there isn't a reason for me to do it :D Just because the Caitian's are related to the Kzinti does or doesn't mean you can be mean to him I'll leave that to your characters. War does tend to bring out the worst in people...

On that note we also have gained another Caitain officer Ru'sientia D'ardaigh who will be played by our CMO Lt. Hagen same rules apply.
